Spectacular and demanding route that goes around the whole Sierra de Guara with a huge accumulated vertical gain. It’s a classic tour among the most experienced cyclist of the region. Physically speaking is a very tough route with 5 mountain cols and countless slopes, some with more than 12%, going by solitary and a bit uneven roads in which extreme caution is recommended. It can be started in every village of the itinerary and due to its arduousness it might be divided in two stages with an overnight in a halfway point. This route can be combined with Mallos’ Kingdom Tour to result in an amazing Gran Fondo route, better done in 2 days (282 km & 4200 m of height gradient).

  • It’s compulsory to bring lights and reflective vest at the tunnel between Arguis and Nueno.
  • The descent from Arguis to Nueno is usually done by the highway N-330 because the old road pavement is in very bad shape, although it’s open for the traffic (first bridge to the right after the dam).
  • Take care at the exit of the highway in Nueno cause is very steep and may be a bit dirty.
  • Los puntos con peor firme de la ruta son la bajada de Mesón Nuevo a Arguis (baches), la subida de Molino Villobas hacia Nocito (gravilla) y desde Sabayés hasta Fornillos (baches).
  • Other places with pavement in not-so-good shape are the climb from Molino Villobas towards Nocito (small gravel), the descent from Mesón Nuevo to Arguis  and the road between Sabayés and Fornillos (irregular, bumps).
