The northern part of the Sierra de Guara is one of the most unspoilt and wild areas in the province of Huesca. The highlight of our journey follows a quiet local road that runs the entire length of the Guarguera Valley, through which the Guarga River flows.
Along the route, we’ll be able to enjoy lush natural surroundings and a unique cultural heritage, with picturesque villages such as Laguarta and other abandoned hamlets that we’ll come across along the way. Villages such as Lasaosa, which are currently being rebuilt, illustrate the harsh living conditions in this region. After climbing up to the Puerto del Serrablo pass, we will descend to Boltaña, the administrative capital of the Sobrarbe region. The stage ends in the wonderful medieval town of Aínsa, designated a Historic-Artistic Site and recognised as one of the
Spain’s Most Beautiful Villages.
