If you want to enjoy three thrilling and completely different descents all in one route, there’s nowhere better than Pico del Águila.
The route climbs gently along a tarmac road from Arguis to the secondary summit of Pico del Aguila (approx. 1 hour). There, it joins a path that climbs to the summit, where the fun, winding descent through the pine forest to Mesón Nuevo begins. Pure adrenaline. From the inn, we’ll head up the track towards the Sierra de Bonés, where a stunning trail with a Pyrenean feel first climbs to a pass and then descends along a medieval stone-paved road that will really put our arms to the test. Once we reach the road, we’ll head back up to Mesón Nuevo to enjoy the final descent, this time over loamy terrain, which leads down to Arguis and from there back to the start of the route.
