The Sierra de la Gabardiella (1,696 m) is one of the least well-known and wildest mountain ranges in the Guara area.
Its steep slopes make this mountain range a challenging terrain that is difficult to access, where extreme caution is required to avoid accidents. But this challenging terrain is more than made up for by trails and landscapes of extraordinary beauty, with incredible views of Tozal de Guara, Fragineto and the cliffs of Cienfuens.
This route combines a climb up challenging trails to the Mesón de Sescún with easier sections along tracks and roads that lead to two extraordinary descents: the descent from Collado de las Paúles to the Belsué dam is tough, long and exposed, whilst the final stretch from Pardina Orlato to Nocito is pure fun on smooth rock slabs.
