A pleasant heritage and scenic route that takes you to the Sanctuary of Santa María de Dulcis, very close to the village of Buera.
This is a route that is suitable for families, as it follows tracks that are in good condition throughout. The route starts in Colungo and winds its way across flat terrain through fields of ancient olive trees towards the Sanctuary. From there, the route continues along a picturesque road lined with vineyards and, after passing the chapel of San Juan, reaches the charming village of Buera. In Buera, the route begins with a gentle climb along a track through holm oak woods, almond groves and fields of grain, offering beautiful views of the Sierra de Guara. It then descends and crosses a ravine before reaching Colungo, where a visit to the Rock Art Interpretation Centre is a must.
