This route begins and ends in one of Spain’s Most Beautiful Villages, Alquézar, an ancient medieval town and a paradise for lovers of cultural heritage, nature and adventure. From here, winding its way through fields, almond groves, olive groves and vineyards, the route covers part of the Somontano de Barbastro region: Radiquero, Adahuesca, Alberuela de Laliena, Bierge, Abiego, Lascellas, Peraltilla, Azara, Azlor, and then back via Abiego and Adahuesca to return to Alquézar. They all share a rich historical and artistic heritage, and some form part of the Vero River Cultural Park and/or the spectacular Sierra y los Cañones de Guara Natural Park. The Sierra de Guara and the Pyrenees will be constant companions throughout the journey.
