An easy route through olive groves and vineyards, with a distance and elevation gain that are just right for a leisurely morning or afternoon’s cycle.
It offers the added attraction of the easy stretch of trail between Buera and the Puente de la Albarda, which can be seen as a first taste of the enduro trails found in the Sierra de Guara. The route also features several points of heritage interest: the fascinating Romanesque-Gothic chapel of Treviño (13th century) right at the start of the route, the pretty village of Buera, and the Romanesque bridge of La Albarda (13th century) over the River Vero.
The route can be extended by incorporating the loops of the Pie de Sierra and Colungo-Buera routes to create an excellent 35–40 km trail walk.
