The Flumen River valley between Belsué and Salto Roldán is home to some excellent walking trails set against a stunning backdrop: red-rock formations, limestone cliffs, panoramic views and, of course, the prehistoric gem that is the Belsué Dolmen.
As soon as you leave the Salto Roldán car park, the trail begins. The first one, which is absolutely brilliant, winds its way up and down, passing by the Belsué Dolmen and ending beneath the cliffs of Cienfuens. After passing the Belsué dam, take a path that climbs gently until it joins the track leading up to the Collado de Cienfuens. From there, you still have to climb another steep track, which is in even worse condition, up to the southern pass of Pico del Águila. The perfect way to round off the day: an exceptional trail descent to Santa Eulalia de la Peña and the Salto Roldán.
