Few routes can boast such a wealth and variety of trails in a stunning setting of abandoned villages, ravines with crystal-clear pools and beautiful pine forests. To whet your appetite, this hiking extravaganza begins with the exceptional stretch of the GR1 between the Sanctuary of San Úrbez, Bentué de Nocito and Used – all of which are sites of great heritage interest. From Used to the abandoned village of Azpe, we come to the toughest climb, where you’ll have to carry your bike for short stretches. From there, the route continues with a series of ups and downs towards Abellada and La Pardina Latorre, where the fabulous descent to San Úrbez begins – one of the best in the mountains. If you’re feeling tired, the final stretch to Nocito – which is rocky and challenging – can be avoided by taking the road.
