This route is the ZZ-095 PLATIELLO LOOP, organised by the Zona Zero MTB Centre, which has also been responsible for signposting and maintaining it. You can start from either Naval or Colungo.
The Sierra de Salinas is largely unknown to most residents and visitors to the Sierra de Guara. Its highest peak is called Platiello (954 m). The route circles completely around it and climbs up to a pass near the summit. It is a dense, fragrant woodland, with brown earth and soft rock, offering superb 360-degree panoramic views. The villages are surrounded by olive trees, some of which are centuries old, such as the Olivera de Nadal. Enjoy every single moment and every setting: villages, gorges, solitude…
