The Peonera Gorge on the River Alcanadre is one of the legendary gorges of the Sierra de Guara.
This route follows the entire length of the trail, starting from Bierge, making for a challenging but highly rewarding circular walk thanks to the superb panoramic views of the Sierra de Guara, the Sierra de Balcés and the Balced and La Peonera ravines. Most of the route follows tracks in good condition, although between Pedruel and Morrano there are some very steep inclines and descents, so a good level of technical skill is required to tackle them. The short but challenging stretch of trail leading down to Las Almunias adds to the appeal of this varied and comprehensive route.
Recommended for rally enthusiasts with a good level of technical skill.
