Description

Spectacular and demanding route that circles the entire Sierra de Guara with a tremendous accumulated elevation gain, a classic among the most experienced cyclists in the area. Physically, this is a very tough route with five mountain passes and numerous steep sections, some exceeding 12%, running along solitary and somewhat irregular roads where caution is required. You can start in any village along the route, and due to its difficulty, it can easily be divided into two stages with an overnight stop at an intermediate point. This route can be combined with the Vuelta al Reino de los Mallos to create a great two-stage route (282 km and 4200 m of elevation gain).

WARNINGS

Essential to carry lights and a reflective vest for the Arguis tunnel.
The exit from the N-330 national road in Nueno is very steep and may have debris, pay close attention.
The sections with the worst road surface on the route are the descent from Mesón Nuevo to Arguis (potholes), the climb from Molino Villobas toward Nocito (gravel), and from Sabayés to Fornillos (potholes).
